By The 100in1Day Edmonton Team
Does your community have an underused or ignored space, like an alleyway, a street corner or a vacant lot? Well, we want to help you do something about it. People all over Edmonton are getting ready to give these empty spaces temporary, low-cost makeovers to showcase their true potential as places to gather, to make new friends, and to have fun.
Imagine how your neighbours would react if you transformed that overlooked space you pass by every day into something extraordinary. Then multiply that by 100. And imagine it all happening on one Saturday!
That’s the goal of 100in1Day, a community-led festival organized by Make Something Edmonton and City of Edmonton’s CITYlab, that will rally hundreds of people to each take one small action to spark positive change in their city all on the same day.
The event, which will happen on June 3 this year, is part of a global network of 100in1Day festivals. Last year in Edmonton, 101 creative, temporary projects popped up all around the city on the same day and this year, with your help, we’ll hit an even higher total!
We’re here to support you as we go after this ambitious goal together. For project ideas, workshop dates, and downloadable resources to help you make your idea happen, visit the 100in1Day Edmonton homepage.
So, let’s get started! |
