Montrose and Mount Royal School sites have been declared surplus by Edmonton Public Schools. Read the report [pdf].

This means that the Division has determined the sites are no longer needed and may be put up for sale. Further information may be found in the Edmonton Public Schools Real Estate Strategy [pdf].

The provincial government has first right of refusal, followed by EPSB’s Joint Use Agreement partners (the City of Edmonton, Edmonton Catholic Schools and Conseil scolaire Centre-Nord). If none of these organizations acquire the sites, they will be listed for sale on the open market.
